How to Count Points in a Dart Game
Below there are 3 dart games, which are the most common dart games. Now we will teach you how to count points for them.
501 & 301 Darts
They are the most popular two dart games. Players start with a total points ( 501 or 301 points), and the goal is to reduce your score to exactly zero.
Here is a breakdown of how the scoring works.
- Players throws three darts per turn, and then add up the total score of the three darts.
- Reduce the core from the starting total ( 501 points or 301 points )
- The game ends if there is a player hits exactly zero. Be noted: if you “bust” by going below zero and your score will return to the total, you have to start again.
Cricket
Cricket is another one of popular dart games.
The scoring system is a little different. the goal is to close number on dart board ( from 15 to 20, including the bullseye) before your competitor does.
You have to hit the number three times and then you can colse it. The scoring is optional in this game.
Once you have closed a number and your competitor hasn’t, you can score the points.
Around the Clock
It’s also know as around the world, which is also a very popular dart game.
The aim of the game is to hit every number on dartboard in sequence. From 1 to 20 and ending at bullseye.
For example if you currently aiming for 5 and you couldn’t move to 6 until you have successfully hit 5.
Once you reach 20, you need to hit the bullseye ( the center of the dartboard) to win the game.
So you can see there is no point calculation.
